Her work has received a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers Award, a Pushcart Prize, the Peden Prize, and has been listed among distinguished works in Best American Short Stories. She has won fellowships from the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, the Institute of Creative Writing in Wisconsin, Jentel Artist Residency, and Brush Creek Foundation for the Arts.
