Apply to Marble House Project
Overview
What to expect
Artists are selected based on quality of work, commitment to practice, and project description. Applications are reviewed by a jury of alumni which changes each year.
All residents live together in the historic eight-bedroom Manley-Lefevre house, a communal space organized around responsibility-sharing systems that highlight sustainability and community. The residency is an opportunity to develop and carry out practices of mutual support, group conversation, and to cultivate adaptive relationships with the environment.
Residents will be paired and asked to cook for shared dinners three times over the course of their residency, Monday-Friday.
We seek artists at all stages of their careers who demonstrate a commitment to their practice and an openness to community.

Applications are submitted through our online portal. You will need a brief statement, work samples, and a CV or resume.
Applications are medium-specific; please choose the application that best describes the work in your statement of intent and project description. If your primary medium isn't listed you can apply in the Non Art Practitioner Application. This could include architects, curators, activists, scientists or others working on contemplation-intensive projects that would benefit from this residency opportunity and from interaction with artists. If you have questions please email info@marblehouseproject.org.
Two artists may apply together as a collaborative, and should complete one application. Within each application you will be asked to select the session dates that work best. Family Friendly and the Ecology sessions are specific dates but you can apply to as many residency sessions as you want.
